About money
6 questionsHow much is the franchise fee?
PHP 250,000 is the franchise fee. It is one-time and it is the first payment to us. Additional costs are yours, and all of them are listed on the package page.
Is there a royalty?
Yes. 5% of gross sales, paid monthly, plus a 1% marketing fund. Both are written into the contract before you sign, and neither changes during the term.
What else is needed beyond the franchise fee?
Rent and deposit for your space, business and sanitary permits, crew wages, electricity and water, and working capital for the first months while sales are still stabilising. Renovation is yours too, if the space needs changes before the unit can be installed. The full list is on the package page.
Can the franchise fee be paid in instalments?
Yes. 50% on signing, 50% before equipment delivery.
How long until I recover my investment?
We cannot give you an exact answer, and no one should. It depends on location, rent, your management, and the population of the area. What we can promise is a good product, clear supply pricing, and support that does not leave you.
Is there a refund if I do not proceed?
The reservation fee is refundable within 7 days, before the contract is signed. After signing, the franchise fee is non-refundable.
About location
5 questionsDo I need a location before I inquire?
No. Many people who inquire are still searching. We help you work out what kind of location to look for before you commit to a lease.
How much space is needed?
6–10 sqm is enough for the kiosk format. A stall needs 12–20 sqm and a counter 20–35 sqm. What matters more than the number is whether power and water are adequate and whether 24-hour operation is permitted at the address.
What if there is already a branch near my area?
Tell us where you are looking and we will check it. Part of the site evaluation is measuring the distance to the nearest branch, because two Papa Burger branches competing for the same customers is bad for both of them. If the area is already served we will say so, and help you look at a nearby one instead.
Can it be inside a mall?
It can, where the mall permits a kiosk or counter of this size. Be aware of the trade-off: mall hours close at night, and the 24-hour format is where a large part of the earning happens. A roadside or terminal location that can trade around the clock usually suits this brand better.
Is it possible outside Luzon?
Luzon only for now. Patties and sauce ship from our commissary, and until there is one in Visayas or Mindanao we cannot supply a branch there reliably. That is what would need to change, and it is the plan for 2027. Register your interest now and we will come back to you when it opens.
About operations
6 questionsDo I need to be there every day?
Not all day, but in the first three months your presence matters. After that, many franchisees put a manager in place. Still, a branch watched by its owner is almost always the better run one.
How many crew are needed?
2–3 per shift for a kiosk, 4–5 for a stall, 6–8 for a counter. Because the format trades around the clock, plan for three shifts and enough people that a night absence does not close the branch.
Where do patties and sauce come from?
From us. Patties, sauce and the core materials are supplied by HQ at set prices, and you order them through the franchisee portal. That is how the taste stays the same at every branch, and it is also why nobody else can copy the sauce.
Can I add my own products?
No. The menu, the recipe and the portion are the same at every branch. A customer who likes what they had in Bacoor has to get the same thing in Daet, and that only works if nobody changes it on their own. If you think an item would sell well in your area, tell us and we will look at it centrally.
Does it really have to be open 24 hours?
The format is built for it, and the late hours are a real part of the earning. Where the location genuinely does not allow night trade — a mall, or an area where it is not permitted — we agree the operating hours with you before you sign, and your branch publishes those actual hours on this site.
Who assists when there is an operational problem?
You raise it through the franchisee portal and it becomes a ticket with someone assigned to it and a record of what was done. For anything urgent, you call the number your franchise team gives you at handover.
About the contract
4 questionsHow long is the contract?
3 years and renewable. The renewal conditions are written into the agreement.
Can I sell or transfer my franchise?
Yes, with HQ approval and a transfer fee. The full process is written into the contract.
Can I open more than one branch?
Yes, and several of our franchisees have. The usual condition is that your first branch is running well and in good standing before a second is approved. Each branch is its own agreement and its own site evaluation.
What happens at the end of the contract?
You may renew, on the conditions set out in the agreement, or the term ends. If it ends, the branded unit, signage and the use of the name go back to Papa Burger. Read this clause in the agreement before you sign, and have your lawyer read it too.
About the process
3 questionsWhat happens after I inquire?
You receive a reference number immediately, along with an email containing the full detail. The franchise team calls you within 24 working hours.
What happens to the information I give?
It is used to assess and follow up your inquiry, and for nothing else unless you separately tick the box asking for news. We do not sell it and we do not share it with franchisees. You can ask to see, correct or delete it at any time — the Privacy Notice says how.
How do I check the status of my application?
Use the reference number from your email on the application status page, together with the mobile number you gave. It shows you where your application currently sits. If anything needs discussing, a person from the franchise team will call you rather than leaving it to the page.
Fees, terms and inclusions shown here are indicative and current as at the date of this page. They may change, and the executed agreement governs in all cases. Read the Franchise Disclosure Notice.
A question that is not here?
Ask it on chat, or add it to the inquiry form. We answer all of them.
